Hi, I'm J. Real travel looks nothing like the highlight reel.
Just honest travel stories from someone figuring it out one trip at a time. From where we stayed to what went sideways.
Two nights in NYC as a Canadian couple — the food, the hype, the brutal exchange rate, and the one dinner I'm still thinking about.

I'm a mother to two little girls, and this past year has been my year where I crashed and burned due to high stress which I developed high anxiety. Even though it is still early into the year, so far it has also been a year where I learn self-love, self-care and setting realistic expectations. Overall just being kind to myself (still practicing self-compassion).
I decided to create a travel blog to capture the highs and lows of travelling. I was tired of seeing others who travelled staying at high-end places, eating expensive food, and experiencing experiences that are way out of our budget.
So here's what I do instead. I share the honest version of every trip. Where we stayed and why, what it cost, what the kids thought, what went wrong, and whether I'd do it again. No sponsorships, no perfection. Just real experiences.
I am here to share with you my side of travelling. As a family, with friends, romantic getaways and solo trips. I want to share the ups and downs, the tantrums and tears, while still enjoying the beauty of what the world has to offer.
I hope you enjoy my journey. Learn with me and grow with me.
